The 3 L’s in Latreille are represented by Lynn, Jenny and Matt Latreille, 3 family members who will be exhibiting together at Artists on Elgin in August. The title of the show comes from a lifelong mispronunciation of their last name. Matt and Jenny have said in the past they have thought about changing their last name to Latray, the phonetic version of Latreille, because people are always surprised that “there are 3 L’s in Latreille”. 

This will be the first time all three Latreilles will be showing their work together.  The Latreilles are featured ‘Artists of the Month’ at Artists on Elgin, a Sudbury gallery where Lynn and Jenny are members.   Both mother and daughter are based in Sudbury, while son Matt lives in Toronto.   

Even as the three have their own aesthetic and style, visitors will notice elements that tie all three together. The exhibition covers a few different mediums, while each unique piece continues to display a connection to the other two artists.

The show runs from August 4^th to 29^th.

Opening reception to be held on Friday August 7^th, 5 to 8 p.m.
